Part of continuing downtown revitalization efforts in the City of Williamsport, the Civic Arena is the next step to injecting family-sustaining jobs, improving local and regional quality of life, stemming the outmigration of the City’s young people, and directly mitigating blight and underused property.
This year-round multi-use facility will be the focal venue for sporting events, home and garden events, public skating (ice and rollerskate/blade), fitness contests, concerts, religious and other conventions and gatherings, and party rental space.
The Civic Arena will also offer safe, low or no cost activities to idle youth, and will be a gathering place for diverse populations with a variety of interests. It will also serve as a destination for tourists who will patronize local lodging, restaurants, and retail establishments, thus magnifying local and regional economic impact.
